Christian Science Louisiana

In Slidell, Christian Science services began in 1963 and have been held at this location since 1972. The current structure is the result of an outpouring of love from around the world, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which destroyed the previous building in 2005. When members returned after the storm, they met in a private home until this building was erected in 2007. The stained glass window in the sanctuary depicts the dove that found land after the Biblical flood, to remind guests that the church is a refuge in stormy times.
